In Bandung

I can't believe I am in Bandung now. In another country, that is so near, but far, similar but different. Here are the things I observed.

Bandung people or at least the workers are very good looking. I feel like watching a sinetron sometimes.

The toilets are relatively clean with no stench of urine.

People like to press their horn almost all the time. I think to remind the others that they are there. Maybe I should learn to horn more.

Lots of Malaysian here too.

There are coffee and tea carbonated drinks!

Teh Botol, is basically Jasmine tea.

Lots of MPV here, and there are also a lot of Honda Jazz too

to be continued

In a few more weeks, it will be 3 years since I stepped into this world, I called Post Graduate Studies of Masters.

Gosh, 3 years just passed with a flash. God knows, it was just not about having a real lab and having a microscope all for myself.

Its about me, finding who I am really am without having to hide, well, at least I don't have to hide from myself.

3 years

Gosh, that is something. Even this blog, tells me the things that have happened over the years, and I am proud that I have it. It shows me that moment in time in the past 3 years that felt so strong, that I had to write about it.

Well, lots of stuff happened, but mostly, I was too lazy to upload it. Dreams, fights, opportunities. and experiences.

Alas... somethings are just not made to be written

I had this strong urge for a Slurpee after watching a marathon of Glee. So I went to my nearest 7-Eleven. I went to 3 of them actually. All for the search of a Slurpee.

Yes, that multicolor, sugar loaded, frozen blended drinks. I was desperate for it, which leads to 3 different 7-Eleven shops in Kajang. There are five 7-Eleven stores in Kajang, and more is appearing. Alas, my search failed. The first store shuts the Slurpee machine at 11pm, although the shut off time is at 12 am, the second store machine was broken, and the third store had no Slurpee machine at all.

A poor substitute is a Big gulp, but the machines are either out of ice, or broken. The second store cups were soiled with spilled strawberry soda.

So what happens?

All hell breaks of loose of course. I wanted to burn down all three of the 7-Eleven stores. I was mad as hell for the poor service and quality of the stores. I decided to have a BF, a bitchy fit, and wrote a complain letter on the 7-Eleven website.

I thought it would takes weeks if they even read those letters, but surprisingly, the next day, I received a call from the Boss of all the 7-Eleven in Kajang. He apologised for his employees mistakes and the poor quality of his 7-Eleven branches. He promised to fix all the problem I stated in the letter. Now that is what I called quality customer service.

Coke Accident

I had another strange dream today. It was something involving me getting into a fight with my dad during dinner or something, which does happen normally. Then somehow at the end of the dream sequence, I had this incredibly strong desire for Coke or Coca-cola. I imagined the black liquid poured into a tall glass, it was so icy cold, and refreshing. Then I woke up, feeling pissed off without any good reason at all. Oh yah, my cough decided to wake me up. D'oh!, I thought I don't need that cough medicine and cold medicine that the doctor gave me. Well, I guess I was wrong.

Team Edward or Team Jacob

This is another contest from Nuffnangs that they do periodically to promote movies and stuff. So I decided to enter it and hope that I will get tickets too. They asked a question whether you like Edward or Jacob. So its basically are you Team Edward of Team Jacob.

You made the contest into “are you in Team Edward or Team Jacob”? T_T

this is girl biased!

*what to expect, this is a girls novel………………………………………………

Despite all the fascination or obssesion of Edward and Jacob, to be frank I find the vampire life much more interesting than a shape shifters life. Yes boys and girls Jacob is a shape shiter, they just conviniently change into a wolf, so in theory, they actually they can turn into some other animals, but their ancestors changed into wolves first, so each generation followed that choice.

Back to the point,

Yeah, I think being an immortal vampire with hard marble skin, increased strength, increased agility and becoming unrealisticly good looking is very cool. If you are in luck you might have special powers other vampires don’t such as Edwards emphatic powers which is basically being able to read people thoughts.

A vampire is cool, look how insanely rich they are since they live such long lives, they buy collectors item and sell it off. Sure we have that killing humans and drinking their blood, but come on, you can always choose to become a vegetarian and drink animal blood only. Besides in order to live in your own Coven, you do need to drink animal blood versus human blood, unless you are a Volturi.

Besides, if I was a vampire, I think Jane would be awesome as my mate. She is so evil and sadistic, its so attractive. Maggie from the Irish conven would cool too with her lie detector
I would love to be a vampire and have my own special ability. I would probably study a lot just like the Cullens do, I’ll have so many bachelor, master and PhD certificates, that it would crazy. All the time in the world to study and all the time to recreate your identity.

How could you not like being a vampire?

Besides, its actually easy to become Twilight vampire in real life

You just need a pair of Freshlook Colorblends in Honey for that I am vegetarian vampire look, wear those whitening mask to lightening your skin weekly, use Oil Of Olay Total Effects that has sparkles in them that makes your skin glimmers in the sun and drive the latest Volvos in the market. You can get all of these in Malaysia now. Both Volvo’s the silver C30 in the first movie and blac XC60 in the second movie is available in Malaysia.

Tell me how the heck are you going to turn into a werewolf? fur coats? wolf suits?

So I guess I am in Team Edward and I will tell Benjamin from the Egyptian coven and freeze, burn, bury or suffocate the wolves to death (Benjamin has the power to control Earth, Fire, Water and Air)

Go EDWARD aaaaaaah (screams and jumps like a girl)

Gosh, the only thing not well about me, is this persistence cough, which is something everybody is having now days. I am in my forth trip to the clinic in two weeks to get another bottle of this non narcotic cough syrup. It does work, it stop you from coughing so much for a few hours. The doctor also gave these herbal candies to soothes the throat. I find the candy interesting because it comes in a variety of flavours. I've gotten Pineapple, Raspberry, Strawberry, Grape, Lemon and now Orange. Its a Skittles of herbal candies. Sometimes I had to take so much candy to wet my throat during times I don't have access to drinking water, my teeth hurts. Sugarless candy is a much better deal now for these times. Keep up your health people, don't wanna fall sick again.

Can't Update

I can't believe its almost a week, since I last updated. I admit I was sick, through out the whole week of last week. I have to admit also, I am feeling quite happier now days. Those two combination causes one to no update as much. I was not feeling bitchy enough, sad enough, angry enough or even happy enough to actually blog about how I feel.

True I am happy but at the same time, I don't feel the need to express it now. Perhaps a special someone? Maybe? maybe not?. I stopped asking those questions. I don't know why, but I just stopped wondering so much and instead actually enjoying what I had now.

Definitely need some more updates, some parts of my life can be entertaining to others. I will definitely do better this week, blog wise that is.

FreshLook Illuminate Daily Disposable Lenses

My 3 days trial of Fresh Look Illuminate just arrived today at my house. This One Day Disposable lenses are made to be worn for one day before you throw it away. These lenses makes your black or dark brown eyes bigger and bolder. The diameter of the lenses is 13.8 mm with a base curve of 8.6. Since the diameter is quite small compared to FreshLook Colorblends (14.5) and even smaller compared to these Korean made, big eye lens (16mm). The small size is much more comfortable to wear in my point of view, but each to their own iris.

These lenses are said to me made for Asian eyes since the ring around it enhances the size of the iris a bit. You know, when you see babies, they have really big iris which makes them adorable

I haven't tried it yet, but I need a day that is suitable to wear this. This are not like my Softlens 38, which I can wear for more than 12 hours and use for 30 days, but these are One Day lenses. A friend of mine said that One Day lenses are drier compared to 2 weeks, 4 weeks, or monthly disposable lenses. So till the day I will wear it. The 3 day trial is over, but there is a 1 day trial lense with the chance to win RM500 weekely and 30 days worth of FreshLook Illuminates. Check out FreshLook website

*I should do more review of contact lenses, other than cars, this topic seemed to be popular for people in search engines.

IMS Irritable Male Syndrome

Angry, sarcastic, explosive, depressive, sad, unwanted, need to with drawn to video games, excessive eating, the need to drink more caffeine.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up how I felt for few months now

For most people, its the typical guy or typical hot headed male.

However some studies shown its the effect of the sudden decrease level of testosterone in males which causes these symptoms.

There is this guy named Dr Jed Diamond, who wrote the book "The Irritable Male Syndrome". He claims he has done the study in more than 10,000 men and proof that this is a real syndrome in men.

One might find in similar to PMS (pre menstrual syndrome) which occur in women before they have their period. Menopause happens to women after they ran out of ovum supplies and stopped menstruating. Which means, it happens every month or when they reach the age 50

IMS however, can happen everyday. Male produce sperms for the rest of their lives, even if they are impotent, but the testosterone level does decrease with old age. This kinda shows how some males are so temperamental and why old man are cranky

I watched a show on 3R about PMS and IMS. They claim men should not give women a hard time since women have PMS, but men have IMS. All I understood from the show is that if I am aggressive, withdrawn, angry and so on, you can't blame it on me, but blame it on my sudden decrease in testosterone level? Nice job ladies of 3R, and you writers and producers to give that understanding to me. Thank god your show does not cater to the general male population. Just freaks like me who like to watch it.

This is an excerpt of an interview with Dr Jen

Again, there is the assumption that women are hormonal but men are moved more by logic. But the truth is men are as hormonally driven as women. In fact, men have a number of hormonal cycles:

1) Men's testosterone, for instance, varies and goes up and down four or five times an hour.
2) There are daily cycles with testosterone being higher in the morning and lower at night.
3) Men have a monthly hormonal cycle that is unique to each man, but men can actually track their moods and recognize they are related to hormonal changes through the month.
4) We know that there are seasonal cycles with testosterone higher in November and lower in April.
5) We know about hormonal cycles with males during adolescence, but also the years between 40 and 55 have what we call male menopause or andropause.
6) Finally, we know there are hormonal changes in men going through IMS, related to stress in a man's life.

You can read more in Wiki, Medicine Net, the doctors own website selling his book (I wonder if this is a scam really than the truth) and at enotlone

They say this is genetic, I find my dad with explosive anger burst all week. Especially if he is under stress. I guess I inherited it. It kinda sucks, that I have to be wrong, when I want to be right (a sign of IMS), that I don't know whats going on (IMS again), and that people don't get it (I should the poster boy of IMS)

I wonder though, if they say this is about decrease of testosterone level, what if I took testosterone? No not the ones the body builder takes, well actually is the same, usually the body builder takes likes 50 times the recommended dose, while for hormonal therapy, its much-much lower in the dosage. A friend of my took it because he wants to grow more facial hair. Well, he was hairier, but not at face but at the arms, legs and so on. Also his sex drive was a lot higher. This is a problem for those who are single, not married, believe masturbation will cause you to go blind and believe in sex after marriage.

This makes me stressed out just thinking about it. I think spikes in the testosterone level affected my skin, I get pimples more often than I should, and I am very religious with washing my face with a cleanser.

Basically the article says I should face my problems head on. There is problem though, since it involves people, these people find themselves doing nothing wrong, which makes me irritated even more. This shows that I have to change or I have to look at the situation differently. I don't want to (IMS, IMS)

Erghh.. this allergy is making things worse, and the meds that I got before, is not kicking in at ALL..

So now you know why most of my entry is very emo... :D

Have you ever had a dream that was so real but at the same time, you think. I had that in today while I was asleep. Today mark the second day I slept at 6am. It was actually quite terrible thing to do, because you are so tired when you sleep and then you had to wake up and join life afterwards. At least I still function when I was awake, but trying to sleep was crazy. I had conversation with myself, I made options on things in life that did not make sense. I knew it did not make sense because I automatically open my eyes. You know what it feels like?

It feels like Freddy Kruegar is playing with my dreams. Luckily I never saw him anyway and like any other super naturals things that does exist in the world, I am lucky to be born without having the sense to detect these things.

The Killers in One Utama

Another free ticket fron Nuffnangs. YEAY!!! :D. This time I will be watching The Killers, staring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. The story is quite simple.

Boy meets girl. Boy is a super spy, girl is girl who just got dumped by her geeky boyfriend

Boy and girl like each other, got married, became husband and wife live happily for 3 years

After 3 years, wife find out husband is a spy and there are assasins send out to kill him.

Wife decided to get in the action. Wife learned how to shoot a gun, steal a car and perhaps try to kill the assasins who are after her husband

Husband shoots all the assasins into pieces
The story line is quite simple and is very fun to watch. Its like watching Mr and Mrs Smith, except only Mr Smith is the spy and Mrs Smith is a clueless wife who suddenly gets pulled into action. Ashton and Katherine are as charming and funny as they can in this film and is what viewers expect. Lots of actions scene from Ashton, not to mention the akward and sexy scene in the elevator. I always have a soft spot for anyone acting geeky and weird when they see the person they like. One of my favourite line (Okay.. I'm gonna bathe in shame now). Besides I like Ashton and Katherine for being attractive, funny, akward people that I like. However, I am biased over romantic comedies/chick flicks, but like Mr and Mrs Smith, they combined action and romantic comedies together. So if you do want to bring your boyfriend or someone who hates romantic comedies, this is a good compromise since you get a bit of both worlds. However they still cannot beat Mr and Mrs Smith, but it still an enjoyable movie to watch
*I love the scene where Mr and Mrs Smith were in arm combat and when Mr Smith knocks Mrs Smith out and said "Whose your daddy?" then soon after that, Mrs Smith kicks Mr Smith to ground and reply "Whose your daddy now?". Its arousingly funny >:D

I wanna Watch Toy Story 3D

Toy Story is coming out with its 3rd movie, called Toy Story 3, in 3D. 3D movies are definitely something worth spending extra to watch, because the depth sensation from the 3D glasses makes viewing more realistic. This is continuation of Toy Story 2, where Andy has grown up and going to college. He does not know what to do with the toys. Somehow the toys end up at a kindergarten. The original toys at the kindergarten first welcomed them but somehow something seemed not right when Woody and the Gang gets separated. Now Andy is looking for them and the Toys must find a way to go back to Andy.

There are many new characters in this film, however one of them caught my eye. Its this purple jelly octopus called Stretch. She (yup a She, I thought it was a He too) is voiced by Whoopi Goldberg, the women who won best Supporting Actress in the movie Ghost (remember that Clay vase making scene...)

You know what Stretch reminds me of?

Silly Putty is like this gooey but solid dough that will ooze it self into nooks an crannies while maitain high tension. (basically it will stretch a lot before it breaks) and perfect for making fake mucus. Other thing it reminded me is those, flat tomatoes that you see these people demonstrate at shopping malls that goes totally flat when you drop it, but it retains it shape after wards. I wanna get one soon :D

I can't get it out of my head.

yup soap..

but not just any soap, but hand made soap..

the ones that you can see people selling at downtown or in health stores..

this are homemade soaps..

what is it made of?

well basically oil, sodium hydroxide, water and fragrance..

after that, you can basically add anything your mind can think off that you think you want to lather on your skin...

In the Muslim Civilisation, when it was the most powerful force in the world, long long time ago, soap was very important because cleanliness is part of Islam itself. The knowledge of chemistry, olive oil and perfume, makes the soap in this region, one of the best in the world back then. Its make me wonder why some Middle Eastern people stink. It does not make sense to me.

Soap is all I could think about today and it kinda made me tired to anything else. Gulp!, like I need more things to distract me.

The soap they make are freaking cool with even more out of this world ingredients. Coffee, chocolate, apple, cinnamon, grass? anything you are willing to put on your skin, they will put it on the soap (meat???)
